Sydney Virtual Hospital (formerly known as RPA Virtual Hospital) was established in early 2020 as the first virtual hospital in Australia. The virtual hospital design, infrastructure and governance enabled a safe and rapid response to COVID, testing virtual care at scale. The same design has enabled the piloting of new and innovative models of care such as virtual urgent care, remote patient monitoring for acute conditions, virtual fracture clinic, low back pain clinic and virtual rehabilitation service. This presentation will discuss the features of the virtual hospital, virtual care and hybrid services delivered, research and evaluation results.
